I personally enjoyed reading this book. It tells so much about gang life and the struggles young kids in gangs had to go through in those times. It talks about a boy having a really tough childhood and even more of a rough teen life. It talks about all the hardships he had to go through with gang life, drugs, and violence. It talks about the reality of how it was and how the gangs ran and how violent it actually was and how scary it actually is choosing this lifestyle. This book tells about him being at his ultime low having nowhere to go and not knowing what to do or where to turn to besides the Latin Kings to find respect, trust, and loyalty. I like the fact I can in some ways relate my life to this book and things he's went through. I'm not one to really be interested in reading but when I got my hands on this book I couldn't stop reading it. This book really caught my attention because of the things it talks about and what he goes through and it's crazy how he actually had this lifestyle and the things he did that he now regrets, and now knows none of it was worth it. This book is very inspiring and I think everyone should read this book. If your into reading about gangs, violence, drugs, and sex this is the book to read.

I really enjoy reading this book. i like how it starts off with his childhood ,How it explains his life in puetro rico and chicago . it actually tells yous the stuggles of his childhood and why he joined a gang.im pretty sure alot of gangbangers these days went through the same neglect, pain, and lifestyle as Reymundo did growing up.In the book it talks about alot of different things like drugs, sex, alcohol, voilence, and life struggles.i like how they actyually showed reymundo true feelings towards everything. Like when he would go on mission outside he would be this big macho guy, but insided he would be nervous, worried, and scared. The book itself seem so real, i could actually pictured everything that was going on. Everything in the book is how things actually happen in the real world. i would really recommend this book to anybody who is thinking of joing a gang or already is in one. It would make you think twice about how your life should really be if you want to live long. Here are some
